Rhinitis Treatment

In early 2026, I had a severe headache. When I visited a doctor, he explained that it was caused by swollen nasal passages due to allergic rhinitis. He prescribed a nasal spray to reduce the inflammation.

After using the nasal spray for more than a month, I returned for a follow-up visit. Unfortunately, both sides of my nasal passages were still blocked. The doctor then suggested surgery.

I submitted a pre-admission request to MSIG, my insurance provider, and thankfully it was approved. I was admitted to the hospital last Thursday.

I had to fast starting at 12 PM, and the surgery was scheduled for 7 PM. I was unconscious during the procedure because of the anesthesia. Thank God the surgery went well. I woke up around 10 PM and stayed in the hospital for two days for monitoring.

On Saturday, the doctor removed the nasal tampons, and I was overjoyed to finally breathe freely again. The doctor told me to regulary rinse my nasal using NaCl to prevent nasal inflamation.
